USE YOUR OUR WISE ADULT MIND

Embracing the Wise Adult in Daily Life
Hello Dear Friends,
Another week has flown by. Many have spent this time clinging to the same reactions and programming they’ve had for years. Some have focused solely on the past, while a few have spent the week working on themselves. The reality for most of us is that we are still reacting to our current lives with the survival mechanisms we created in childhood. Recognizing these patterns allows us to step into the wise adult mindset.
Terrence Real, author of the book Us, speaks about using our Wise Adult Mind in our daily lives. He encourages us to observe where our old childhood survival patterns still appear. This message really resonated with me over the past week. Despite the self-work I do throughout the year, I still find that these childhood reactions occasionally surface in my world. I recognize that I have grown and don’t face the same issues as before, but I see how these reactions can affect my most intimate relationships—with my wife, best friends, and family.
Cultivating Your Wise Adult Mind
Something new, more connected: The Wise Adult.
We all have the opportunity to reach deeper into our own soul craft. There is space and time, while we are here, to be honest with ourselves about our relationships. What patterns keep showing up in your relationships? Is the old you sometimes telling the Adult you who and what you are? Do you find disconnected or harsh reactions in your most intimate relationships?
Take each day as a chance to make a shift. It may come all at once or inch by inch, but have faith that your Wise Adult wants to be the one living this life. Your child self needs to witness this Wise Adult in action. You all have the capacity to transform the life you have into deeper, more loving, and authentic relationships.
Step by step, your life will compound into your wildest dreams.
With Gratitude,
