Late Sunday Afternoon

Hi,

I often find myself writing to you about how we might become more authentic, more present, more in tune with ourselves. But today, I want to shift gears and talk about something a little more tangible: scarves.

When I first moved to Venice, California, I was out all day long — morning into night — never quite knowing where the day would take me. I didn’t have the luxury of going home for another layer as the weather shifted, and I often found myself uncomfortable.

It was during one of those long days that a memory returned to me: my childhood blankie. I took it everywhere. Maybe you had one too — that one thing that made you feel like you were home, no matter where you were.

I’d owned scarves before, but they were either too small or too seasonal — made for cold weather and little else. What I really wanted was something I could snuggle into, without dragging a full blanket around.

Then, one afternoon in 2012, I wandered into a fabric store in Venice. And something clicked. I could make the perfect snuggle buddy myself.

That’s where it all began.

FUNCTION. COMFORT. STYLE.

I wasn’t chasing fashion — I was searching for function. Something I could take anywhere, something that felt like home. A scarf that could double as a neck pillow, a seat cushion, a market bag, a sarong, a shield from the sun.

That’s what Late Sunday Afternoon scarves were born to be: ease, comfort, and versatility wherever you are in the world.

By now, if you know, you know: these scarves are alive. You bring your energy, your story, and the scarf carries the rest. Wherever you are, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. And having your LSA scarf by your side is a small but powerful way to remind yourself of that.

Look around next time you’re out. Notice how many people seem uncomfortable, ungrounded. Maybe they just need a nudge in our direction. Maybe they need a little of the spirit we carry.

Share it.

Happy Vacations,
