BE THE LIGHT YOU WISH TO SEE
Dear Snuggle Tribe,
No matter how you cross it, this is not a typical Fourth of July.
Over the past thirty years, we’ve watched our country shift from block parties to protests, from movie theaters to cell phones, from We Are the World to people being rounded up and deported.
The times have delivered us into a 24-hour news cycle that’s turned government into reality television. And with that, our lives have been pulled into chaos, as we’ve entrusted leadership to figures who often lack the moral compass and integrity to guide us into the unknown.
Still, there is something to hold onto this Independence Day.
Our ancestors, our country, the world — we’ve all endured darkness before.
And in those times, it’s the Snuggle Tribe who holds the light high, for all to see.
Sometimes we must walk through the shadows not just for our own growth, but to serve as steady hands for those still learning.
Strength, after all, is forged in the dimmest hours.
BE THE LIGHT YOU WISH TO SEE
It’s not enough to scroll and have opinions. Life is meant to be lived.
We are, each of us, playing a role in a modern-day Greek fable. The question is not whether the story is dark or bright — it’s which character you choose to be, and what light you’re willing to bring.
Darkness, if we let it, can be a rich fertilizer. It gives us the compost we need to seed the future with goodness.
So this Fourth of July, remember to plant generously — in your family, your community, and the world.
That’s what I’ll be doing. I will keep choosing love over fear. I will work to build a better world for my children — not by following, but by leading.
You can argue with people who thrive in chaos, but often, they’re not fighting. They’re drowning.
What they need most isn’t your resistance — it’s your calm. Your warmth. Your example.
Be that example. Be the light.
With love and light,
