Late Sunday Afternoon

Did you get a chance to travel this summer?

What a time to be alive. You can summon a car, head to the airport, board a plane, and be halfway around the world in hours. With so many ways to book a trip, the only real obstacle to going somewhere is often ourselves.

I just returned from Montauk, New York, with my family. It was our first trip with both kids. We were anxious about the journey, but it turned out to be wonderful. Hard, yes — but hard can be okay, too.

One constant on the trip was my scarf. On the cold plane, it kept me warm and comfortable. Later, it became a blanket for my son. When we stopped to breastfeed, my wife used hers as a cover in public. I kept a handkerchief in my pocket because New York in summer is humid, and I hate sweating in public (lol). On the beach in Montauk, she wore her scarf as a sarong.

ANY JOURNEY’S BEST FRIEND

I like to think that no matter where I am, as long as I have my Late Sunday Afternoon scarf, I feel at home.

So if you know someone who’s still unaware of how well these scarves travel, help us spread the word. More people deserve to feel this kind of love and support.

It doesn’t always have to be therapy, mushrooms, or a book. Sometimes it can simply be an amazing scarf.

If you know, you know.

Enjoy the last weeks of summer.
