Late Sunday Afternoon

To My Snuggle Dearest,
It’s hard to believe that I now have a two-and-a-half-year-old and that we’re about to welcome a baby girl into this world—my second child brought to this planet, where we come to work out all of our stuff. Time no longer holds any power over me. I’ve done my best to withdraw from toxic people, substances, and empty entertainment as our family prepares to step through this sacred portal.

All around us, ungrounded souls seem to cling to the opposite of what Socrates once taught: “All I know is that I know nothing.” Young spirits grasp tightly to the illusion of knowing. Their identities wrapped in labels, boundaries, and definitions, as if these are the only ways to exist in this realm.
To exist here, truly and fully, requires a skill that is sometimes innate—but more often learned. We must dedicate ourselves to flexibility, to learning through mistakes, to being open to new ways of being, and to honoring others’ paths without treading on them. To live is to create life from within. And when we devote ourselves to this inner work, we begin to see our outer world transform. When the external world presents us with synchronicity, it is one of the purest confirmations that we are aligned.

TIME IS AN ILLUSION

So rejoice. Laugh. Cry. Ponder. Wander. Wonder. Just get good at feeling and exploring. Surround yourself with those who are willing to explore alongside you. The ones who reflect our growth back to us are sacred. And those who challenge us—even if only briefly—are teachers too.
As I often say in these messages: it is essential to lead by example. Be the one—at home, at work, in your neighborhood—who leads with action, not words. Let time pass as you quietly and consistently model what safety, love, and reliability look like. The children will notice. They always do.
As I leave you with these words today, please hold my family in your prayers. My wife is about to become a vortex, and through her, we will welcome our little girl into this beautiful, complicated world.

With Gratitude,
